An open kitchen and deliciously prepared local products keep guests coming back
O’s Pub and Grill serves elevated American-style pub fare, offering guests fresh takes on burgers, sandwiches, steaks, and more. Burgers are the top sellers, made with beef that is ground onsite and prepped by hand each day. The flagship of the specialty burger menu is the “O” burger—a hamburger topped with a fried egg, pastrami, hot pepper cheese, pickles, mustard, and maple-flavored house sauce.
The grill runs specials most days of the week, including Taco Tuesdays and Lake Perch Fish Fridays. On Thursdays for Trivia and Throwback Beer Night, guests can compete in live trivia games while enjoying $1 “throwback” beer specials, including Pabst Blue Ribbon, Black Label, Schiltz, and Hamm’s, making for a fun, retro evening with friends.
“Wednesday and Saturday are our steak nights,” explains Owczarzak. “We serve both New York strip and sirloin and were voted the No. 1 place to get a steak recently by WNEM, as well as receiving an honorable mention on MLive’s statewide steak poll.”
The Owczarzaks designed the pub around an open kitchen. “It’s a unique touch, and it’s really helped both our servers and chefs create real relationships with our customers. And I think our guests appreciate it because they can see exactly how the sausage is made, so to speak.”
To add to the diverse menu and help create an establishment with a true hometown feel, the restaurant is always taking customer suggestions on how to improve and add the best local products, such as the wide selection of Michigan craft beers.
