Village of the Living Dead
The hills are alive at 400 E. Water St. in St. Charles … with the sounds of the living dead. The St. Charles Haunted House Association, a popular nonprofit in St. Charles, is anything but sedate with its haunted house and escape rooms. The Village of the Living Dead is a volunteer effort that has raised over $750,000 since it opened in 1985, according to the organization’s website.
