Take A Second to Breathe

By Adam Lansdell   Find Some Inner Peace in the Chaotic Life Finding a moment to de-stress and gain mental clarity is difficult when you have a million things on your to-do list, and there isn’t an escape in sight. But perhaps what you need isn’t something to be sought, but rather unlocked. Within each of us is the ability to slip away from the stressors of life and into your inner peace, thanks to meditation. Meditation doesn’t have to be the hyper-spiritual, light incense and dim the lights festivity that popular culture may have led you to believe. Today there are a variety of online instruction guides and free-to-use apps on your phone that allow you to tap into your inner sanctum no matter where you are. Give it a shot for yourself by cutting out 15-30 minutes of time each morning before you do anything else. Many first-time meditators will be skeptic, claiming that they aren’t sure the practice works or is worthwhile. But ask any longtime faithful, and they’ll assure you it only gets better with practice.
