Great Lakes Bay Magazine Publishes Its Last Issue

The struggles our local entrepreneurs face to simply keep their lights on and doors open are very real and very significant challenges.

The unforeseen circumstances of this unexpected year have strained us all professionally as well as personally.

Business has borne the brunt of these sacrifices through constant changes and adaptations for the sake of survival. The struggles our local entrepreneurs face to simply keep their lights on and doors open are very real and very significant challenges. Because so many face such daily uphill climbs to keep the spark of their dreams aflame, they are understandably unable to continue supporting this publication with strained advertising budgets.

It is with a heavy heart to announce that this is our final issue of Great Lakes Bay Magazine.

Underwater issue

Month in and month out, we never strayed too far from the common theme of hope throughout the pages of this magazine. Given the character and integrity of the people and the businesses of the Great Lakes Bay Region, remaining true to that theme has never been a difficult task. We’ve provided in-depth coverage of neighbors helping neighbors, strangers helping strangers and communities uniting for common and just pursuits.

It has been our privilege to hold up a mirror to this region to display the unblemished reflection of hope and positivity that seems to come so naturally to those who choose to live, work, and play in the Great Lakes Bay. We have taken great pride and honor in being able to share your stories with our dedicated readership.

Throughout the years, our readership has proven time and time again to be vocal and passionate cheerleaders of the work we have done. Our supporters and contributors have always provided the fuel that pushed us to bring our best work. They not only expected it, they demanded it. That drove us to deliver, and there is no possible amount of thanks to fully express what their loyalty has meant to our magazine family.

Even though we have come to the final stanza of this chapter of our magazine, our theme of hope will endure. When one door closes, it only allows the opportunity for another to open, and we continue to hold onto the hope that we will have the privilege to tell your stories again one day.

Until that time, continue to support our wonderful local businesses, continue be kind and positive, continue to elevate our region as a shining example of what can be accomplished when good people support one another for the greater good.

Continue to continue hoping.

We are grateful that you have allowed our family to become part of yours over the years.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
