Simple Jobs to Teach Kids Responsibility

Get your kids off on the right foot by helping them create their own small business. Not only will they take home some extra pocket change, but they’ll learn about responsibility and commitments too – traits that we all must inherit someday if we hope to find success.

All they need to do is figure out what items they’ll need to complete the job at hand and a few early investors. We suggest starting by going door-to-door to find a neighbor in need.

Here are a few classic business enterprises your young one can embark on this summer:

  • Dog walking
  • Lemonade stand
  • Grass cutting /lawn maintenance
  • Car washing
  • Selling handmade goods at arts and craft fairs.
